Aug 16, 2016 - Game itslef does not support joysticks or any other controller than console.
So all you have to do is: 1. Download that software from. (I used 64-bit version). Put x360cex64.exe into C: Program Files (x86) Steam steamapps common No Man's Sky Binaries 3. Launch x360cex64.exe as administrator. It will create few files and you need to configurate it.
Article to help you with configuration: 4. This is IMPORTANT! Close x360ce and rename xinput13.dll to xinput910.dll 5. Right click on x360cex64.exe - properties - compatibility and check run it as administrator.
Launch x360ce again and click on tab 'Controller Settings' and check drop menu 'Program / Game:' There should be 'NMS.exe: No Man's Sky' selected. If not select it and click on 'Save'. Enjoy NMS with joystick. Remember always launch x360ce before NMS. Edit: I guess its not necessary to launch x360ce before NMS. Thanks for this amazing guide!!
It worked really quick and awesome to set it up. However, I got some problem after the installation: how do I map the XBOX Controller's buttons to the ones of my joystick (Thrustmaster). I thought I unterstood it and did as it seemed logical to me - also according to the picture you posted in the guide. But somehow when I move the joystick back to turn my ship's nose up, it also starts to move the view to the left. If I turn my nose down, the camera view is also changing to the right. My Thrustmaster has some buttons more than the XBOX controller, but I can't seem to find out where to put what. I would love to put the quick menu to the button R3 but it just won't accept this button.
Could somebody help me out here?
Scroll down on the Windows Store's main page, and you'll find the new section. It features a wide variety of games from multiple genres. There are sandbox games like Disney Infinity and Minecraft. You'll find shooters like Modern Combat 5, or side-scrolling action games like Reaper. Microsoft's own games, Halo: Spartan Strike and Halo: Spartan Assault also make the list.
